Mr. James Litzsinger
9899 Lakewood Drive, E.
Carmel, Indiana 46032
Dear Mr. Litzsinger:
Since you are President of the Carmel Plan Commission
and you suggested at the last plan Commission meeting that we
be permitted to re-submi t our plans for the 5th Section, village
of Mt. Carmel, I'm directing this written request for a re-
hearing of the petition for final plat approval of the 5th
Section, Village of Mt. Carmel.
r'm doing this because a 6 months wait would create a
hardship on us, slnce we presently have only 3 platted lots left
for available sale of the 117 lots platted. Past experience
would indicate that we would sell 10 to 12 lots during the period
of delay. In addition, of the 20 lots platted in the 5th section
water and sewer connections as well as hard surfaced roads are
now available for immediate sale on 14 of these 20 lots. Con-
sequently construction requirements for the 6 remaining lots
would not interfere with the sale and residential building on
those 14 lots that have these facilities already available.
These lots would then be on the tax roles ~s residential property
and would increase considerably the income to the county.
I
If the Commission would re-hear our application a~ the
next meeting, we feel the delay we would presently be faced with,
might be reduced to a couple of months rather than 6 months. We
realize the ordinance permits this only if all members agree to
docket the petition sooner than the normal waiting period. If
you wish copies of this letter to go to each member, we shall be
happy to comply with your wishes.
As background information, we offer the following for
your consideration regards the Village of Mt. Carmel. The First
Section was approved by the Hamilton County Plan Commission on
April 29, 1957. The Second Section was approved by the Hamilton
