Kevin Heber's comments on the Bike routes & loops agenda item:
Fellow Plan COlTImission members,
... I wanted to share a few quick thoughts regarding the bike routes & loops. It probably occurred to you that I've
probably ridden these a few times -- indeed I have, both alone and with family & friends, so I'd be thrilled to
entertain your questions.
* We can & probably should denote the level of difficulty of each maj or section of each route & loop, on maps &
guides
* Routes are more conducive to more experienced riders looking to cover longer distances, but the routes are still
designed for relative comfort.
* A couple of the north-south routes are intended to be extended/finished in the future; another east-west route may
become viable along 106th in the future.
* Yes, the US31 crossing area is by far the most difficult and least comfortable spot of the entire system. It can be
carefully denoted as such.
Please let me know your concerns when you have a chance. ...
Best Regards,
Kevin Heber
