1.Contractor shall submit irrigation design to
Landscape Architect for review prior to
commencement of Irrigation work.
2.All new mainlines and mainline stub-outs, as
required, to be sized as recommended by the
design-build contractor for a complete and
functional drip system. Clearly mark and identify
mainline stub-outs above and below grade.
3.The Irrigation contractor shall test static water
pressure at the new Irrigation point of connection
(POC). Contractor shall confirm available GPM and
report actual pressure reading at the POC to the
Owner and Landscape Architect. Confirm required
design pressures prior to construction.
4.Irrigation drawings are diagrammatic. All piping,
valves, etc., shown within paved areas are for
design clarification only and shall be installed in
planting areas, tight to edge of pavement. Avoid
any conflicts between the irrigation system, planting,
site lighting, utilities and architectural features.
5.Trench layout, if applicable, review shall occur prior
to installation of Irrigation system as per written
specifications unless otherwise directed by Owner.
6.Irrigation contractor shall be responsible for the
installation of sleeves and chases under paving,
and for all control wire.
7.Provide (3) spare control wires from the irrigation
controller to furthest valve locations at each end of
the mainline. Provide 48" expansion coils at every
valve box along spare wire run. House spare wires
in dedicated valve box.
8.Do not willfully install the Irrigation system as shown
on the drawings when it is obvious in the field that
obstructions, grade differences, or differences in the
area dimensions exist that might not have been
considered in the engineering. Such obstructions
or differences shall be brought to the attention of
the Owner. In the event this notification is not
performed, contractor shall assume full
responsibility for any revisions necessary. Install all
Irrigation to all for full serviceability.
9.Any damaged concrete, other surfaces or
improvements shall be replaced to match existing.
10.Contractor shall adjust each pressure compensating
remote control valve and pressure regulator for
optimum performance and to compensate for
pressure and friction loss.
11.No bending of conduit below hardscape conditions.
All piping below harscapes shall be sleeved.
