Notice is hereby given that the Carmel Board of Zoning Appeals Hearing Officer meeting on the
____27th____ day of __May__________________, 20_25__ at ___5:30___ p.m. in the City Hall Council
Chambers, 1 Civic Sq., 2nd Flr., Carmel, IN 46032, will hold a Public Hearing upon a Development
Standards Variance application to:

To our fellow neighbors. The attached document is a legal requirement to notify you of
our request to obtain a reduction in our property line variance limit.
We are appealing to the City of Carmel for a reduction in the property line variance on
the northeast side of the property. The current variance is 10 feet from the property line.
We are requesting an allowance for a 3 foot reduction, or 7 foot variance. This variance
change would allow us to legally construct an attached covered patio on the northeast
corner of our house. The variance is required because, due to the angled property line,
the single northeast post of our planned patio would set withing the existing 10 foot
variance limit.

more information and submit comments for or against the requested variance change.

7 A Hearing Officer Public Notice Sign Procedure & Affidavit
Procedure:
The petitioner shall incur the cost of the purchasing, placing, and removing the sign. The sign must be placed
in a highly visible and legible location from the road on the property involved with the public hearing.
The public notice sign shall meet the following requirements:
