HomeMy WebLinkAboutLetter #10 Mark & Teresa EstradaRE: BZA docket for PZ-2025-00099 SE: Cain Short Term Residential Rental Thank you for the chance to speak, and for your time We am here (and writing) to oppose the granting of a short term permit both as a HOA board member for the neighborhood, as well as residents of the street who lives opposite the cul de sac circle from the home in question. As a homeowner, we have reasons to be concerned regarding the renting of this particular property which has already been shown to be a nuisance to the street and beyond. We are not the sort to complain readily, but we are very frustrated with the lack of respect shown to neighbors and city ordinances. From being chased by an unattended Cane Corso dog exhibiting an aggressive behavior (said as experienced dog owners who know the difference) in my own yard and until I entered my front door (not to mention getting calls as board member for dog complaints by many others on many different dates), to loud parties with noise beyond what is acceptable. Even the homeowner’s own party (7/6/24) had people (graduation/teens presumably) wandering the street, sitting it cars with drinks and containers, leaving behind trash, vape pens, vomit and even underwear, in the street. Fireworks were also set off in our driveway, without our permission, startling our child awake. We chose to live here, in a neighborhood of family residences, in a quiet cul de sac specifically, to be out of the thoroughfare of random traffic. Having short term rentals catering to party type gatherings that regularly bring in large numbers of people and vehicles to the street. Street parking is already tight in the circle and pushes up along the street to multiple home. These renters have no investment or concern for the quality of life of others in this neighborhood, they are noisy, both voices and music, partying around the pool, driveway, and front yard. This is not theoretical because it is already been happening at this residence multiple times this past month. If affects our home value, our peace, and sense of safety. We have long had a great, friendly and respectful group of neighbors but this homeowner will not answer the door or phone calls so that we can even discuss any issues in a neighborly fashion. Our time for giving grace is over and future issues will be reported with greater frequency, as appropriate. Please protect our homes and investment and deny this permit. Sincerely, Drs.
