Hollibaugh, Director SUE FINKAM, MAYOR L E T T E R of G R A N T June 24, 2025 Molly Smith 3913 Devon Drive Indianapolis, IN 46226 Re: BZA Docket No. PZ-2025-00092 UV: Smith-Thompson Accessory Dwelling Use Variance Ms. Smith: At the meeting held on Monday, June 23, 2025, the Carmel Board of Zoning Appeals took the following action regarding the Use Variance (UV) request filed by you for the property located at 10680 Highland Dr. APPROVED: Smith-Thompson Accessory Dwelling Use Variance approval for: • Docket No. PZ-2025-00092 UV: Permitted Uses – Accessory Dwelling unit not permitted, but granted. CONDITION: • The Petitioner addresses all remaining ProjectDox review comments. Please be advised that per Article 9.15 of the Unified Development Ordinance, the aforementioned Use Variance approval is valid for three (3) years. By that time, either continuous construction of the improvements must be underway, or a written request for a one-time, six-month extension of the approval must have been received and approval granted by this Department. The expiration date of the use variance approval is June 23, 2028. Please include a copy of this letter with any permit application.
