Dear Mr. Althouse:
We have reviewed the secondary plat submitted. to the Hamilton County Surveyor~s Office on
December 26,2007 for this project and have the following comments:
1. This proposed project falls within the unincorporated area and MS4 jurisdiction of
the Hamilton County.
2. This proposed project DOES NOT fall within a Cannel Wellhead Protection Zone.
3. This proposed project falls in the Williams Creek Watershed.
4. The natural stream through the project is the Vernon Asher, Meridian Suburban.
and the Spring Mill Place Regulated Drain upstream of this site.
5. Please submit the petition from the developer for this natural open ditch to become
a Hamilton County Regulated Drain.
6. Please show the current floodplain (FW or FWF) on the secondary plat and label
the FIRM Panel and effective da.te used to determine that information.
7. Any floodplain that appears on the secQndary plat needs to be covered by a
drainage easement.

8. Since the disturbed area appears to be larger then 1 acre in size, the site must have
Stormwater Phase 11 (S'W'PPP) approval from Bob Thompson ofHCSO before any
earth moving activities begin.
9. No landscape planting will be pennitted or allowed within tb.e proposed regulated
drainage casements per Indiana Code 36-9.27.33(d).
10. All the above items must be satisfactorily resolved before the County Surveyor
will sign off on the Hamilton County Subdivision Review Sheet.
11. Please note that further comments may be necessary at a later date.

This letter serves to acknowledge receipt of a Revised Secondary Plat received 12/26/07 for
review. After reviewing the Revised Secondary Platthe Highway Department has the following
comments:
1. Please correct the Board of County Commissioners Certificate to read: Christine Altman
- President, Steve Holt - Vice President, Steve Dillinger - Member. Also list the Auditor
as Robin M. Mills.
2. The entrance will require a permit for Public/Private Road Approach. Please contact
Robb Chadwell of this office for questions concerning the permit process.
3. Additional comments may be needed at a later date.

The following letter repres<:nts comments for tIus project specifically addressing the area of alternative
transportation. I have reviewed the drawings submitted for the January 16, 2008 Technical Advisory Committee
meeting and offer the following comments:

1) Thc Carmel Clay Altemative Transportation Plan requires the construction ofl 0' asphalt path along
106111 St and Spring Mill Rd. Please show and labelthesc paths providing construction details. Please
include path along the entire property hontage of Spl'lllg Tvlill Rd. These paths should include ADA
compliant ramps at all path crossings, Please revise these plans to reflect these changes.
We request that all responses to our comments be provided in "'Titing. Failure to provide written responses may
result in delay of the review process.
It is critical that this office be made aware of all modification made on the plans being re-submitted, particularly if
any such changcs are considered "new" or fall outside of our previous reviews. Pleasc provide revised plans
indicating allrcvisions. Please notify us of any changes and specificaUy slale any changes, including changes
resulting from Plan Commission, Special Studies or other committee meetings.
The Department of Community Services reserves the right to provide additjonal COlllments hased on subsequent
reVlews,
