RE: CARMEL CITY CODE WEEDS/GRASS VIOLATION/JUNK VEHICLE/RUBBISH
Dear Sir or Madam:
This letter is being provided to inform you that the property at 9636 Kittrell Dr., a property
list under your ownership, is in violation of Carmel City Code § 6-88 (Ordinance No. D-
1557-02) and Indiana Code §36-1-3-6 (b)(1).
(c) Requirement to cut. All owners of real property ("property") located
within the City shall cut and remove weeds and other rank vegetation
growing thereon that exceeds an average height of six inches, and shall
keep their property clear of debris.
There are also violations prohibited per the Carmel City Code § 6-106(b) and § 6-114,
which states:
6-106 (b): A Junk Car shall mean any motor vehicle which does not bear a
currently valid license plate, and is not kept in a garage or building.
6-114: Because of the danger to the health from vermin, the danger of personal
injury to children attracted by such vehicles, danger of fire by the storage of
gasoline and oil thereon, any abandoned, unlicensed, inoperable,
disassembled, wrecked or junked motor vehicle on any street or public
property for more than five days or upon any private property for more than
15 days, except as hereinafter provided, is declared to be a nuisance and
unlawful.
and;
Carmel City Code, §6-77(k), which construes the following conditions to be public health
nuisances:
(k) Any accumulation of junk, rubbish, scrap metal, automotive parts,
building materials, machinery, dead trees, or parts thereof, upon any
premises in a residential area.

Please be advised, if the above referenced violation is not corrected within Ten (10) days
from the date of this letter, this matter will be brought into compliance by the City of
Carmel. You, as property owner(s) will be liable and billed for the cost of correcting the
violation and all administrative costs. In order for this action by the department to be
avoided, please make sure the following actions are taken: mow/remove all weeds and
grass on the property to below the ordinance -stated maximum; ensure all vehicles have
current plates, are operable (able to drive legally on the street), or garaged; and all tree
limbs, rubbish, etc., removed from property. If you have any questions, please feel free to
