In January of this year, the Carmel/Clay Board of Parks & Recreation purchased forty acres of land, just west of West Park. The intention is to expand the existing West Park westward. This rezone request complies with the Carmel/Clay Comprehensive Plan policies which states that low and medium-intensity residential areas should be served by and accessible to parks, playgrounds, and open space.
