The developer of that land committed to a fence and is responsible for replacing it. I am sending your e-mail to Kevin Brennan, one of our code enforcement officers. He will talk with the owner and if necessary issue a citation to the landowner requiring that the fence be replaced. Call or e-mail me anytime. Jim Brainard From: linda mead [mallto:lindameadl@yahoo.com] Sent: Sun 6/15/2008 2:13 PM To: Brainard, James C Subject: Starbucks and Jimmy John strip center at 116t31 Dear Mayor Brainard, I have had several contacts with you in the past regarding the Maples of Carmel. 2-3 months ago the fence between the Maples and Starbucks had a fire and burned a section of the fence.Supposedly a couple of smokers were smoking next to the fence on the mall and somehow they caught the fence on fire. 'IYtey removed the fence and cleaned it up but have not replaced the fence. I have gone to Starbucks 3 times and Jimmy Johns 2 times to get the name of the management company to see why they have not replaced the fence. I have not received the number or a return call. Last week I called Eclipse which developed and I think owns the ground and he has not called me back. I would like some help getting them to replace the fence as several of our residents are uncomfortable with it open like it is. It is at the northeast side of the Starbucks drive -through.
