PROJECT INFORMATION
1. THIS PROJECT CONSISTS OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF EXPANDING FACILITIES AT THE EXISTING WATER TREATMENT PLANT
AND NEW DRIVEWAY ACCESS TO THE SITE.
2. CURRENT ZONING - S-1, PROPOSED ZONING - S-1
3. THIS SITE IS LOCATED WITHIN A FLOODPLAIN, AND FLOODWAY AS INDICATED ON THE FLOODWAY INSURANCE RATE MAP
COMMUNITY PANEL NUMBER 18057C0233G EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 19, 2014.
4. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR OBTAINING, AND VERIFYING, THAT ALL PERMITS AND APPROVALS ARE
OBTAINED FROM THE RESPECTIVE CITY, COUNTY, STATE AND FEDERAL AGENCIES PRIOR TO STARTING CONSTRUCTION.
5. CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY LOCATION AND INVERT ELEVATIONS OF EXISTING SEWERS PRIOR TO START OF
CONSTRUCTION.
6. CONTRACTOR SHALL MAINTAIN A COMPLETE AND OPERABLE UTILITY SYSTEM AT ALL TIMES.
7. CONTRACTOR SHALL INCLUDE COSTS FOR CUTTING AND PATCHING AS REQUIRED TO COMPLETELY INSTALL THE WORK
INDICATED.
8. INFORMATION SHOWN WAS OBTAINED FROM AN OWNER FURNISHED SITE SURVEY OF EXISTING CONDITIONS AND IS
UNCONFIRMED. CONTRACTOR IS REQUIRED TO FIELD VERIFY THIS INFORMATION AND NOTIFY ARCHITECT OF ANY
DISCREPANCIES SO MODIFICATION CAN BE MADE.
9. CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE EXACT UTILITY LOCATIONS WITH THE OWNER AND LOCAL UTILITY COMPANIES PRIOR
TO COMMENCING ANY WORK. UTILIZE THE INDIANA UNDERGROUND UTILITY LOCATION SERVICE AT 811 OR
800-382-5544 PRIOR TO ANY EXCAVATION ON THE SITE.
10. NO EARTHWORK DISTURBING ACTIVITY MAY COMMENCE WITHOUT AN APPROVED STORMWATER MANAGEMENT
PERMIT.
11. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CONTACT THE CITY OF CARMEL DEPARTMENT OF ENGINEERING TO SCHEDULE A
PRE-CONSTRUCTION MEETING TO REVIEW THE DEPARTMENTS CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS, STAFF NOTIFICATION
REQUIREMENTS, REQUIRED INSPECTION FOR CERTAIN STAGES OF THE WORK, AND TO REVIEW THE AUTHORITY OF THE
DEPARTMENT AS IT RELATES TO WORK WITHIN THE EXISTING AND PROPOSED CITY RIGHT-OF-WAY.

DUMPING STRAPS ON THE OUTSIDE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE UNIT, TURN

STORM SYSTEM CONSTRUCTION NOTE
The storm sewer system shall be constructed per design specified and as
approved by the City of Carmel on the final approved construction plans.
Deviations from the approved design shall only be permitted due to
special circumstances or difficulty during construction and will require
prior field approval from a designated representative of the City of Carmel
in addition to supplemental approval by the design engineer. An
explanation of any such deviation shall be included as a requirement on
as-built/record drawings submitted for release of performance
guarantees. Approved design slopes identified as generating velocities of
2.5 fps or less or 10 fps or greater (at full flow capacity) shall require
as-built certification at the time of construction, prior to backfilling the
pipe. The contractor is instructed to as-built each section of storm pipe as
it is being installed to ensure compliance with the design plans and as
approved by the City of Carmel.
