6. Docket No. 08040010 ADLS Amend: Midland Arts & Antiques Market - Signage
The applicant seeks approval fOf 1 new wall sign. The site is located at 488 Gradle Drive, and is
zoned 1-1Ilndustrial. Filed by Stevi Stoesz of Midland Arts & Antiques Market.
The petitioner seeks committee approval for signage for their new store. A ground sign will be installed
next to the entrance, at least 5' away from the street right-of-way. The sign will be 6' tall and 42 sq. ft. in
area. The main portion of the sign (Midland Arts & Antiques Market) is actually 32 sq. f1. Once the
address portion is calculated into the whole sign area (it is only 3.125 sq. ft. in itself), it goes up to the 42
sq. ft. 60 sq. ft. is allowed for the site per the Sign Ordinance.
The sign will be black with white lettering, as well as a silver logo and gold accents. The sign will not be
illuminated. It will be made out of an aluminum luster board.
There will also be two small wall plates next to the dour with the name, phone number and hours of
operation. Each of these signs will be 2 sq. ft. These ru-e allowed per the Sign Ordinance.
The Department of Community Services recommends the Committee approve this item, after all
questions/concerns are addressed.
