5h. Docket No. 12-03 Z; 146th/just east of Danbury Subdivision (R-4 Rezone)
Petitioner seeks a favorable recommendation of a rezone from B-5/Business to R-
4/Residence on 422:1: acres. The site is located generally south of East 146th Street
between Dublin Drive and Jason Street. The site is zoned B-5/Business.
Filed by the Department of ComnllUlity Services.
The City is requesting a favorable reconunendation from the Plan Commission on their petition
to rezone 4.22 acres generally south of 146th Street between Dublin Drive and Jason Street from
B-5/Business to R-4/Residence. Please see the enclosed ordinance for additional information.
This information was also distributed last month with the agenda and information packets.
The proposal to rezone this site is in an effort to ensure development on the parcel, at this time,
that is consistent with the zoning of the Danbury subdivision. Today the parcel is zoned for
commercial use and stands alone between the Danbury subdivision and the Foster Estates
Subdivision. This conflict became evident upon examination of the proposal to rezone the
adj acent ground to the Parks and Recreation designation.
The Department recommends that this item be forwarded to the Subdivision Committee on
July 1 sl for further discussion.
