Community Services is FAVORABLE.
At its regular meeting of July 15, 2003, the Carmel/Clay Plan Commission voted nine (9) in
Favor, one (1) OppO,sed, zero (0) Abstaining, to forward to tbe Corrunon Council the proposed
Ordinance No. Z-406-03 with a Favorable Recommendation.
Please be advised that by virtue oftbe Plan Commission's Favorable Rec.;munendation, pursuant
to Ie 36-7 -4-608(f)( 4), the Council has ninety (90) days to act on this petition before it becomes
effective as Certified by the Commission. Ninety days from the date of this Certification is

AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA
REZONING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION
Rezoning a property located along tlte soutlt side of 14 6th Street, 1/16 mile east of Dublin Drive
from the B-5/Business District Classification to the R-4/Residence District Classification
-wHEREAS, the Carmel/Clay Plan Commission has favorably recommended the rezoning of
the real property, the legal description ofwmch is attached hereto as Exhibit A.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Cornman Council of the City of Cannel,
Indiana, as follows:
Section I:
That the Official Zoning Map accompanying and made part of the Zoning Ordinance is hereby
changed to designate the real property from the B-5/Business District Classifications to the R-
4!Residence District Classification.
Section II: All prior Ordinances or parts thereof inconsistent with any provision of this Ordinance
are hereby repealed.
Section III: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and signing by
the Mayor.

The following described Real Estate in Hamilton County, State of Indiana, to wit:
Commencing at the Northeast comer of the North Half of the Northwest Quarter of Section 19,
Township 18 North, Range 4 East, in Hamilton County, Indiana; thence South 00 degrees 28
minutes 56 seconds East on the East line of said North Half 466.69 feet; thence South 88 degrees
54 minutes 26 seconds West parallel with the North line of said North Half 466.69 feet; thence
North 00 degrees 28 minutes 56 seconds West parallel with the East line of said North Half

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
TO AMEND THE CARMEL/CLAY
ZONING ORDINANCE
Z-406-03
Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of the City of Carmel and Clay Township,
Hamilton County, Indiana, that the proper legal officers of the City of Carmel will meet at their
regular meeting place, Council Chambers, Cannel City Hall, One Civic Square, Carmel, IN
46032, at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, the 4th day of August, 2003, to consider the following:
Petition of the City of Carnlel Department of Community Services to rezone land from B-
S/Business to R-4/Residential (CarmeVClay Plan Commission Docket No. 12-03 Z). The
property is bounded generally by Cannel water tower site to the east, 1461h Street to the north,
Common Area within the Danbury Subdivision to the south, and lots within the Danbury
Subdivision to the west within Clay Township, Hamilton County, Indiana.
Taxpayers appearing at the meeting shall have the right to be heard.
