Providence at Old Meridian, Lot 1 - Meridian Music
The applicant seeks approval to construct a commercial. building. The site is located at
100 Providence Blvd. The site is zoned OMN (Old Meridian I Village).
Filed by Frederick A. Simmons of Simmons & Associates for JAM Musical Properties.
The applicant is requesting approval of a Development Plan and ADLS for the construction of a
commercial building. The site is generally located at the southwest comer of Old Meridian Street
Providence Blvd. Please see the informational packet prepared by the applicant for an overview of
the site and proposed building.
The following items are those that require additional attention/discussion prior to final action by
the Plan Commission:
ADLS:
1. Architecture:
a. Provide material samples and discuss relationship to adjacent buildings.
b. VerifY that the wall heights will screen all rooftop mounted equipment.
c. The awnings should have a return on the sides. Explain color choice.
2. Signage:
a. No signage is identified on the drawings. However, signs area being requested in
the text of the information packet. Add signs to the illustrations. Be specific
about the request for awning logos.
b. A future ADLS amendment will need to be submitted to address signage ifnone is
submitted with this application.
3. Landscaping:
a. No additional comments.
4. Lighting:
a. A cut sheet needs to be submitted illustrating the type of proposed light fixtures
both in the parking lot and on the building. Specifically identify the proposed
fixture on the illustrations, several are shown.
The applicant should be prepared to address these issues at the Special Studies Committee
meeting.
The Department recommends that this itembe forwarded to the full Plan Commission with
a favorable recommendation after all comments and concerns are addressed.
