1. Docket No. 53-03 ADLS Amend; Tom WoodFord
Petitioner seeks amended Architectural Design, Lighting, Landscaping & Signage
approval for one wall and three ground signs. The site is located at 3130 East 96th Street.
The site is zoned B-3/Business.

The applicant is requesting ADLS Amendment approval of several signs. Please see
informational packet distributed with thp. ;Jp;emL:!
There are signs on this property that the which do not have permits. They include:
1. The "Service" ground mounted sign along 96th Street.
2. The "Body & Paint" ground mounted sign along 96th Street.
3. The "FORD I Service" wall mounted sign.
4. Additional small pole mounted signs and window SigIlage (see attached photos).
Other signs on the building include the following:
1. "TOM WOOD FORD"
2. "USED CARS"
In addition to sign modifications for signs with no permits the applicant is proposing too add an
additional ground sign at the corner of 96th Street and Keystone Avenue (See information
packet),
All proposed signs and sign modifications require variance approval by the BZA. Variances
would include the number of signs, placement (setbacks), type and size. No application has been
filed to date. The Department is not in favor of the needed variance requests. We will begin
enforcement action regarding the signs placed on the site today without permits.
The Department recommends that the Special Studies Committee approve the ALDS
Amend request after the sign violations are corrected and all comments and concerns have
been addressed.
