Whereas, the Carmel, Town Plan Commission has-recommended that the.
Zoning Ordinance No. Z-1 for the Town of Carmel, and its environs be
amended and
Whereas, said Carmal..Toim Plan.Gomffiission has held public hearings
on said proposed amendments, after publication of such hearings in the
Noblesville Bally Ledier, A?oblesv lle, Indiana, said notice being 10 days
prior to said public hearings and;
Whereas, said, Carmel Town Plan Commission has, by resolution,
recommended such amendemnts, all in aRcordance:with Chapter 174 of the
Acts of 1947, as amended, of the General Assembly of tiia State of Indiana,
Now be it ordilned by the Board of Trustees of the. Town of Carmel,
Indiana that r

Section 1. That the property located at ,130 and 140 souw 48e
Line Road be rezoned to a B-1 local business cilssification, as approved
by the Board of Trustees on the 24th Day of November, 1959.
Section 2. That a certain, tract' of land in the name of Seth and
Sarah Wells, Rural Route 1, Box 15, Carmel, Indiana, said :tract being
250 feet by 145 feet and, containing O.83'acres, and fronting on Smoky Row
Road East, be Rezoned from R-2 residential to B-2 General Business, as
approved by the Board of Trustees on the 4th, day of April, 1961.
Section 3. That a part of the Northeast ,*(quarter) of Section 35,
T-18-N, R=3-E', more particularly, described as follows, to=wit:
Beginning at.an iron stake 760:0 .feet'Soutli of the Northeast corner
of the West " of the !Vort}east . of Section 35, T-18-N, R-3-E, runn9mg
thence West parallel with the North line of said Northeast j 1143';o feed
to the intersection with the ce'nterlina of U.S. N.O. 31;. thence Sbuth 36
08' West 115,0 feet, to a, point; thence East and parallel with the North
lineof this tract 1245.71 feet; thenceNorth.140.3 feet to the place of
beginning,.containing 3.9 acres, more or less, be rezoned from R-1 residen-
tial to B-1 local business, as approved by the Board of: Trustees on May
2, 1961.
Section. 4. That _a part of the West a of the Southwest -j of Section
301 T-18-11, R-4-E, more particu] arty.described as follows,, to-wit;
Beginning 50,0 .feet West of the Nertheast corner of the West of
the Southwest - of said, Section 30., T-18-N', R-4-B, thence. West 93:33 feet;
thence South 264 feet; thence East 91:33 feet; thence North 264 feet to the
place of beginning, be rezoned from R-2 residential to R-4 residential, as
approved by the Board of Trustees on the 20th.,day of July, 19619.
Section 5. That. all of. that part of Washington Township that is
within the jurisdiction of the Carmel Town Plan Commission be rezoned from
S-1 residential to 5-2 residential, as appro. ed. by the Board of Trustees

Section 6 That Lot No. 125 in llomeplace:be rezoned from R-3 resid-
ential to B-2 general business, as approved by the Board-of Trustees on
the 7th: day of No:ve"mber, 1961. _ f - ,

passage.
