Heath 9649 Shelbourne Road Carmel, IN 46032 RE: POSSIBLE ZONING ORDINANCE VIOLATION Dear Sir or Madam: This letter is being provided to inform you that our department has recently received some concerns regarding 9649 Shelbourne Road in the City of Carmel, a property listed under your ownership. The concern cited that a possible automobile sales business was being operated at this property, which is zoned residentially (R1). As per Appendix A, Schedule of Uses, of the Carmel/ Clay Zoning Ordinance (see attached), an automobile sales business is not a permitted use in this zoning district. This department performed an initial site inspection of the subject property and was able to document vehicles for sale on the property. However, at this time, this letter shall serve as informational notification of the regulations pertaining to the permitted types of uses for a residentially zoned property. Should this violation continue to be documented, further enforcement action may be necessary including court appearances and fines.
