I have elderly friends that live in the vicinity of Carmel Drive and Clark St, there are a couple of fields with weeds
so high that a person with allergies cannot tolerate the outdoors, can something be done to get these fields cut?
They are on the market with Ross Reller-566-5617
And Vanerbark-269-1000

RE: CARMEL CITY CODE WEEDS/GRASS VIOLATION
Dear Sir or Madam:
This letter is being provided to inform you that the property East of Clark Street, a property listed
under your ownership, is in violation of Carmel City Code § 6-88 (Ordinance No. D-1557-02) and
Indiana Code §36-1-3-6 (b)(1).
(c) Requirement to cut. All owners of real property ("property") located within the
City shall cut and remove weeds and other rank vegetation growing thereon that
exceeds an average height of six inches, and shall keep their property clear of
debris.
The issue in the overgrowth of the grass and weeds on the lot and probability of growth of weeds
such as Canadian thistle (cirsium arvense). Canadian thistle has been categorized by the State of
Indiana as a "detrimental plant' and requires any detrimental plant to be destroyed.
Please be advised, if the grass is not cut and the Canadian Thistle is not permanently and properly
destroyed by July 1, 2008, this matter will be brought into compliance by the City of Carmel. You,
as property owner(s) will be liable and billed for the cost of correcting the violation and all
administrative costs. If you have any questions please contact me at 571-2476.
If this property has already been mowed, please disregard this notice.
