NOTICE OF INTENT TO INSPECT
Dear Mr. and ;Ms,. Miller:
This letter serves as follow-up to our telephone conversation on February 13, 2008 regarding
the property located at 1205 Lynne Drive in the City of Carmel, a property currently under your
ownership. Please be advised that the City of Carmel notified you in a certified letter dated
February 27, 2007 that several property maintenance issues had been brought to, the City's
attention. Though our enforcement case relating to that letter was closed following a
reinspection of the property, additional complaints about the property's condlition have caused
us to reopen our investigation of these matters.
It is our understanding that some property maintenance issues still remain a problem at the
property currently. A recent inspection of the property on February 6, 2008 revealed that there
is a "For Rent" sign and a rental information sheet displayed on the front door of the home. You
indicated, in our telephone conversation on February 13, 2008, that we were unable to inspect
the property due to ongoing repair and maintenance work that was going on inside the home
and, consequently, that you would not be actively seeking tenants for the home at this time. We
would like to officially request entrance into the home, so we can verify the resolution of the
outstanding property maintenance issues and make our determination relative to the complaint
we received. It is our intent to work with you on resolving these issues, gaining compliance, and
having the ability to close the case. To facilitate this, we respectfully request your cooperation
throughout the process and request that you ailow us the opportunity to complete our inspection
of the property prior to the pursuit of a new tenant and in a timely manner with minimal delay.

inspections of the exterior of the property until we are able to close this case. Thank you for
