RE: CITY CODE VIOLATION — CONDITION OF POOL AND FENCE
Dear Mr. Montalban:
This letter is being provided to inform you that an inquiry was made to the Department of
Community Services regarding a City Code Violation at 1330 Bentley Way, in the City of Carmel, a
property listed under your ownership. An inspection revealed that the concern appears to be valid
and that the property is in violation of the Carmel City Code §16-222 13:
(6) Accessory structures. All accessory structures, including detached garages, pools,
fences and wraps, shall be maintained structurally sound and repaired as to not be
dangerous, unsafe, unsanitary or otherwise unfit for human use; or shall not be an
invitation to children and endanger the lives of such children, or which because of its
condition has become a fire hazard and shall not be installed or located such that they
cause, create or result in or represent the potential to cause, create or result in a
Detriment.
The current condition of the fence and pool in the rear yard of this property was found to be a
property maintenance issue as per the above quoted City Code. Please bring this :,property into
compliance by May 27, 2008.
Failure to resolve the violation by the specified deadline will result in further enforcement action by
the City of Carmel. This letter shall serve as the first and final warning for this violation. If you
