The petitioner shall incur the cost of the purchasing, placing, and removing the sign. The sign
must be placed in a highly visible and legible location from the road on the property that is
involved with the public hearing.
The public notice sign shall meet the following requirements:
1. Must be placed on the subject property no less than 25 days prior to the public
hearing
The sign must follow the sign design
requirements:
Sign must be 24" x 36" - vertical
Sign must be double sided
Sign must be composed of weather
resistant material, such as corrugated
plastic or laminated poster board
The sign must be mounted in a heavy-duty
metal frame
The sign must contain the following:
· 12" x 24" PMS 1805 .Red box with white
text at the top.
o White background with black text below.
o Text used in example to the right, with

subject public hearing
* The Date should be written in day,

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE
CARMEL/CLAY ADVISORY BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS

Notice is hereby given that the Carmel Clay Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a meeting on the
22nd day of September, 2008 at 5:30 pm in the City Hall Council Chambers, 1 Civic Square,
Carmel, Indiana 46032. The Public Hearing concerns a Development Standards Variance
application for the following: Applicant seeks a variance for number of signs facing a right of way
for the National Bank of Indianapolis branch at 2410 Harleston Street, Carmel, IN in the Village of
WestClay retail development. The applicant seeks to place signage reading 'Village of WestClay'
on a 15' long screen wall to the west of the building, similar to approved signage on the 15' long
screen wall to the east of the building reading 'The National Bank Indianapolis'. The applicant
feels that matching signage on the west wall, as opposed to a blank screen, would provide visual
balance for the approved signage on the east wall and a more finished appearance. The signage
would strengthen identification with the Village of WestClay Community.
This application is identified as Docket No. 08080006.
The real estate affected by said application is commonly referred to as 2410 Harleston Street,
Carmel, IN 46032, which is located to the SW of 131s1 and Towne Road. All interested persons
desiring to present their views on the above application, either in writing or verbally, will be given
