Sent: Wednesday, July 23,20084:53 PM To: 'acupu nctureofindiana@hotmail.com' Subject: Sign approval process Tom, To have a sign approved for this site, you will need to have the Plan Commission Special Studies Committee approve the design of the sign. Once they do that, I can issue a sign permit. Here is a link to the MRlications page of our department. You will need 10 fill out the Application for Architectural Design, Lighting, and Signage (Amendment) under the Plan Commission Applications as well as the Sign Permit Application under Sign Permits. Because you are located in the Old Town overlay zone, the type of ground sign you would be allowed is a suspended sign. This is described as a 12 sq. ft. sign with a single post and arm construction. It will need to be set back at least 5 feet from the right-of-way from the road. It can be double sided. The cost of the ADLS Amendment application is $342 and the sign permit costs are $85.50 for the application, $34.30 per sign face and $1.80 per square foot. Please do not submit payment until you have been asked to do so. If you have any other questions, please let me know.
