Could you tell me who I should contact about the maintenance of a neighbor's property which has a high
privacy fence and as I understand it is set back from their line and they are responsible for maintaining
the area on the outside of their fence. 1 have paid a couple of times to have it cut back and I tried to
control it myself. 1 am now 85 and can just about take care of my own. I am at 509 Oak Drive, Wilson
village (46032) and their house is now for sale at I believe I I ShadyLane. I really want this taken care
of before new unsuspecting owners have the problem. I don't know if this is a rightofway area Or not,
and I wondered if you have any suggestions. Thank you Kay Skodzus 844-3803

RE: CARMEL CITY CODE--WEEDS/GRASS VIOLATION
Dear Ms. Keen:
This letter is being provided to inform you that the property at 11 Sleepy Hollow Lane, a property
list under your ownership, is in violation of Carmel City Code § 6-88 (Ordinance No. D-1557-02)
and Indiana Code §36-1-3-6 (b)(1).
(c) Requirement to cut. All owners of real property ("property") located within the
City shall cut and remove weeds and other rank vegetation growing thereon that
exceeds an average height of six inches, and shall keep their property clear of
debris.
Please be advised, if the above referenced violation is not corrected within fourteen (14) days
from the date of this letter on October 22, 2008, this matter will be brought into compliance by the
City of Carmel. You, as property owner(s) will be liable and billed for the cost of correcting the
violation and all administrative costs. If you have any questions please contact me at 571-2476.
