Firestone at Weston Pointe - Outlot 2
We propose to construct a Firestone Complete Auto Care store at 11055 North Michigan Road in
the Weston Pointe shopping center. The property is currently zoned B-2, and lIes within the US
421IMichigan Road overlay district.
The site covers an area of approximately 0.977 acres.
The site has 31 proposed parking spaces.
The proposed site lighting utilizes pole and building mounted luminaires.
Storm water will be collected and routed to a water quality unit prior to discharging into the
existing storm sewer.
Proposed landscaping improvements include shade trees, ornamental trees, shrubs, and turf.
Planting beds will receive hardwood mulch. The landscaped areas will also have an irrigation
system.
The proposed building materials consist of masonry exterior walls, asphalt composite shingle
roofs, aluminum storefront with insulated glass, aluminum storefront with spandrel glass, hollow
metal man doors, and overhead doors with glazed sections.
The proposed building has a customer showroom with waiting area, an inventory room, and ten
automotive service bays. The approximate floor areas are:

The proposed activities of the Firestone include the retail sale of tues and automobile repair
services to the general public. The proposed activities also include the following automobile
repair activities:

G radiator service and repair
. air conditioning service and repair
. engine tune-ups

. brake service, repair, and replacement

Firestone anticipates the nature and volume of delivery activity to be $5,000 per day.
The proposed hours of operation are:
Mondays through Fridays: 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Saturdays: 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Sundays: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p,m.
The anticipated number of employees per shift: is:
Full time: 10
Part time: 4
Parking of employee vehicles will be limited to the proposed parking lot. There are no proposed
vehicles planned for the operation of the business that will remain on site (delivery trucks will
make their deliveries and leave). Parking ofvehic1es awaiting service or return will be limited to
the proposed parking lot. Firestone does not anticipate parking vehicles for disposal,
Firestone does not anticipate outdoor repair, preparation, cleaning, assembly, or disassembly of
vehicles. All repairs are to be done within the service bays of the proposed building.
Firestone does not anticipate outdoor display, storage, or sale of goods at the proposed site. Used
inventory will be stored indoors in a used inventory storage rooUl. Trash dump~ers will be
screened by an enclosure.
Noise effects on adjoining lots are considered to be rninimal because the proposed activities will
be indoors, and the noise levels associated \vith the proposed activities will be intermittent.
Glare effects on adjoining lots are considered to be minimal because the proposed site lighting is
intended only to provide the lighting levels necessary through the use of shielded and cut-off type
fixtures.
Odor effects are considered to be minimal and limited to automotive solvents in small quantities
only when needed.
Fume effects on adjoining lots are considered to be nonexistent as no metal burning operations
are planned.
Vibration effects on adjoining lots are considered to be minimal as the proposed activities will
create only small vibrations that will be absorbed by the ground.
Stonn water effects on adjoining lots are considered to be minimal as the proposed site will be
graded to collect stonn water and remove it through a stonn sewer system. No on-site storm
water retention or detention is planned.

FEATURES & SPECIFICATIONS
INTENDED USE - Ideal for use in car lots, street lighting or parking areas.
CONSTRUCTION - Rugged, .063" thid. aluminum rectilinear housing.
Formed for weather-ti9M seal and integrity. Naturally anodized. extruded,
aluminum door frame with mitered corners is retained with (two) .188" diam-
eter hinge pins and secured with !one~ quarter-turn, quick release fastener.
Weatherproof seal between housing and door frame is accomplished with
an integrally designed, extruded silicone gasket' that snaps imo door frame
and another gasket applied to the housing.
ANISH - Standard finish is dark hronze (DOB) polyester powder finish with
other architectural colors available.
OPTICAL SYSTEM - Reflectors: anodized and segmented for superior uni-
formity and control. Rellectors aUad with lool-Iess fasteners and are rota 1-
able and interchangeable. Three cuwfl distributions available: Type II moad-
wayl. Type III (Asymmetric), Type IV (Forward Throw, Sharp Cutoff).
Lens: 0.125" thick, impact-resistant, tempered, glass Wilh lliermally-applied.
silk screened shield.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM - Ballast High reactance. high power tactor for 70.
150W. Constant wattage autouansformer for 175c250W. Metal halice 150W
and helow are standord with pulse-stort igliitor technology; super CWA
pulse-start ballast required for 200W(SCWA oplion). Ballast is capper-
wound and 100% factory-tested.
Socket: Porcelain. horizontally mounted medium base socket for 70-150W
and position-oriented mogul base socket for 175W and above, with
copper alloy, nickel-plated screw shell and center cOntact. UL listed
1500W, 600V.
INSTALLATION - Extruded aluminum arm for pole or wall mounting is
shipped in fixture carton. Optional mountings available.
USTING - UL Listed (standard]. CSA Cenrtied jSee Options). NOM Certified (See
Options) UL Listed for 25'C ambient temperatures afld wet locations. 1f'65 rated.
