It is my understanding from our telephone conference that the only impediment to completing the street dedication process is the absence of the signature block on the mylars provided by Crossroads Engineering. If my understanding is incorrect in this regard, please contact me immediately. Otherwise, I will be instructing my clients to contact Crossroads Engineering to address this issue in hopes that we can finally conclude the street dedlcation process. The proposed project falls io the unineorporated area and MS4 jurisdiction of Hamilton County. 2. The proposed site DOES NOT fall in a Carmel Wellhead Protection Area 3. Previous review of a similar project by a different engineering firm resulted in a. pipe size of 1911 x 30" elliptical Rep to convey the upstream.watetshed area ofthe open d1teh to be piped. The presented drainage calculations do not delineate the contributing drainage basin or supply justification that the 15" pipe is sufficient. The open ditch is relatively flat, carries a good amount of water, and probably also provided detention volume shlce the pond staging depth is verY minimaL Please re- evaluate the pipe size or tlSe the previously determined and approved pipe size. 4. Is the pond being enlarged to provide more sto~ge.capacity? The Board will act on the request based upon the City Engineer's recommendations and the member's input. This initial step is necessary to obtain the Board's approval to allow you to proceed with the formal dedication and acceptance with the Secondary Plat Amendment and to determine the conditions of approval by the Board, 2nd Phase - Assuming the, Board approves the request, prepare a Secondary Plat Amendment. This document is coordinated through our Department of Co nUll unity Services and requires Board of Public Works and Safety approval. The document will be recorded with the Hamilton County Recorder's Office. . I am including the following with this correspondence; . Examples of previous private street dedications, o Marked up copies of Secondary Plat Amendment documents specific to Walden Pond, ll1e information that I have provided on these documents was obtained from copies of the recorded secondary plats and covenants on file with the Department of Corrununity Services, You should confirm that this information is correct and is the most current available. We had discussed the possibility ofa simple dedication of right of way through the BPWS. However, since this is a platted subdivision and the original plats and covenants indicated that the streets within Walden ~ond were private, this would not have corrected ther'recorded information. J would suggest that you contact Matt Griffin of our Department of Community Services to discuss this issue and to assure that proper procedures are being followed. J do not normally deal with secondary plat/secondary plat amendment issues and would feel more comfortable if you sought his guidance in the preparation of these'documents.
