BPW-10-01-08-05 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE EXCHANGE OF POLICE DEPARTMENT ADMINISTRATIVE VEHICLE FROM THE CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA TO THE CITY OF CICERO, INDIANA POLICE DEPARTMEN WHEREAS, the City of Cicero, Indiana Police Department (Cicero) is in need of additional public safety vehicles in order to better protect the health, safety and welfare of its citizenry; and WHEREAS, the City of Carmel, Indiana ("Carmel'), desires to assist Cicero Police Department; and WHEREAS, Carmel is the owner of one (1) 2001 Chevrolet Impala (Serial number 2G1 WF55KX 19281692) Administrative Vehicle ("Vehicle") that has recently been taken out of service and is therefore of no further use to Carmel, which Vehicle is identified on Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference; and WHEREAS, Cannel will transfer and Cicero will accept title to the Vehicle in an "as is" condition, with no guarantees nor warranties as to the fitness of same for any particular purpose or use, or otherwise, and Cicero, upon its receipt of the Vehicle, will thereafter be solely responsible for the operation, maintenance and insurance of same; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Cannel, Indiana, as follows: 1. The foregoing Recitals are incorporated herein by this reference. 2. The exchange of the Vehicle by Carmel to Cicero is hereby approved pursuant to and in accordance with the terms of this Resolution. That Stephen Engelking, on behalf of Carmel, is hereby authorized and directed to take such actions as are lawful, necessary and proper to effectuate the exchange approved by this Resolution. Unpala.Automobile VIN:2G1 WF55KX19281692 RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT THE TRANSFER OF A CAPITAL ASSET Whereas, the City of Carmel, Indiana, has in it's possession a 2001 Chevrolet Impala police car; and Whereas, the City of Carmel, Indiana, desires to transfer the above described police car to the Town of Cicero, Indiana and that said Town of Cicero; Indiana, finds it to be in the Town's best interest to accept the above described police car. Now, therefore, the Town of Cicero, Indiana, hereby resolves to accept the transfer of a capital asset which comprises of the 2001 Chevrolet Impala police car from the City of Carmel, Indiana. Fogarty RE: BPW Resolution for Transfer of Property I am requesting your assistance in preparing two BPW Resolutions and Property Transfer and Indemnification Agreements between the Carmel Police Department and two law enforcement agencies, The Cicero Police Department and the Marion County Sheriff's Department. The surplus item to be transferred to the Cicero Police Department is the following: 2001 Chevrolet Impala Serial number 201 W -55KX19281692 The surplus item to be transferred to the Marion County Sheriff's Department is the following: Firearms Training System (FATS) Model Number F300B Serial number 01259 Each of these items have been replaced with new equipment and are no longer utilized, or needed by the Carmel Police Department.
