4. Docket No. 087 00011 DP Amend/ADCs: ~~'eston Pointe - Outlot 2 -Firestone
The applicant seeks site plan and design approval for an automobile repair facility. The site is located
north of 11055 Michigan Rd. and is zoned B-2/Business within the Michigan Rd Overlay Zone. Filed by
Jamie Shinneman of Weihe Engineers for Firestone Service Center.
The applicant seeks approval of a complete auto care stare. The site is located in an outlot of the Weston Pointe
Retail Center. Building materials proposed are primarily brick, stone veneer, and split faced block. Please view
the petitioner's infornutional brochure for more detail. The second to last page of the revised info packet
dated December 29 shows the latest site plan, with Ore addition of several parking spaces.
At the December 16 meeting, the petitioner stated that tire recycling will be stored inside the building, as well as
the drums of used oil. Also, at the December 16 Plan Commission meeting, several comments were made

1. Please give an update on the approval status from the Foreshy Dept, Hamilton County Highway Dept or
INDOT, and Hamilton County Surveyor's Office.
2. The City Forester would like the existing greenbelt shown on the proposed landscape plan.
3. What color will the bollards be?
4. Show/label the mechanical equipment location and how it is screened from view.
5. _BZA: variances will be required for signage facing north and east. Also, for total number of signs and the
total sign square footage exceeding 75 sq. ft.
6. signage: there are two multi-tenant ground signs along Weston Pointe Dr. far the whole development. Will
you be using one of the sign panels?
7. Note: Directional signs are Re~~mitted (and exempt), as long as they 3 sq ft in area or less and under 3 ft tall.
8. Note: there is already a BZA variance granted to not have a 6-ft wide perimeter planting strip, adjacent to
the 30-ft wide greenbelt.
The Dept. of Community Services recommends the Committee forward this item to the January 20
Commission meeting with a favorable recommendation, after all comments and concerns are addressed.
