MOTION CARRIEll UNANIMOUSLY On a motion made by Leo Dierckman and seconded by James Hawkins: Kent Broach be elected Vice-President of the Board of Zoning Appeals. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY Previous Minutes On a motion made by Leo Dierckman and seconded by James Hawkins:. . The Minutes for the meeting dated November 24, 2008 be approved as circulated. V Ch. 25.07.02-10 b) Total number of signs The site is located at 14480 Lowe's Way. It is zoned PUD, Planned Unit Development. Filed by Brent Bennett of A-1 Expeditors on behalf of the owners. Present for Petitioner: Nancy Long, A-1 Expeditors, 8841 Mud Creek Road, Indianapolis • Additional photo packet distributed to the Board • Third sign needed on east elevation for visibility from Lowe's Way • Necessary identification for the building • Neither of the other signs are visible from Lowe's Way • Monument sign nothighly visible • Light pollution in the azea is from the pazking lot lights • Large distance between building and residential area • Changing orientation of the building would help with visibility, but riot practical financially Public Hearing Closed Department Report: Rachel Boone: • Proposed sign would be 72.78 square feet; allowable in the PUD • White sign matching others allowed in the PUD • East is not the primary entrance; PUD allows west side and over main entrance • Destination-type restaurant from Lowe's Way • Not immediately accessible from US 31 for drive-6y customers Department recommended negative consideration Discussion: • Restaurant is difficult to find • Sign is not visible from Lowe's or Lowe's Way • Fox and House Restaurant has signs on north and west elevations; entrance on west Motion: On a motion made by Leo Dierckman and seconded by Madeleine Tones: Docket No. 08120001' V, Abuelo's -Signage be approved.
