Docket No. 68-03 DP/ADCs; East 96th Street Auto Park, Lot 3; Tom Wood Jaguar The applicant seeks approval to construct an automobile dealership. The site is located at 4620 East 96d' Street. The site is zoned B-3/Business. ' Filed by Lawrence E. Lawhead for Tom Wood Jaguar, Inc. The applicant is requesting approval of a Development Plan and ADLS for the construction of an auto dealership. The site is located on lot three of the East 96`h Street Auto Pazk. Please see the informational packet prepazed by the applicant for an overview of the site and proposed building. The Department has the following comments/concerns: The "Land Rover Nature Trail" is a unique feature that the commission may want to look cazefully at. It is something new to the area and is located on the side of the property adjacent to the residential neighborhood to the north and west. ADT ,S: 1. Architecture: a. The Plan Commission will need to see samples of the proposed materials. 2. Landscaping: a. No additional comments. 3. Signage: a. The elevations call out "Indianapolis" on the Land Rover identification. The applicant should present an alternative, as this site is located in Carmel, Indiana. b. The applicant proposes a roof top mounted "leaper" statue. This would require a variance and the Department is not in favor of the request. 4. Lighting: a. The applicant needs to be specific about the fixtures at all locations (provide cut sheets and illustrations). The applicant should be prepazed to discuss these items with the Plan Commission the night of the meeting. The Department recommends that this item be forwarded to the Special Studies Committee on June 3rd for further discussion.
