Docket No. 75-03 ADLS Amend; The Beauty Center Petitioner seeks amended Architectural Design, Lighting, Landscaping & Signage approval for wall signs. The site is located at 3940 West 96th Street. The site is zoned B- 2/Business and is within the US 421 Overlay Zone. Filed by Bill Humphries. The applicant is requesting ADLS Amendment approval for wall signs. Please see informational packet distributed with the agenda packet last week. The applicant is requesting approval to allow as many as four signs on the face of the building. Based on the tenant layout provided by the applicant and the distance the building is from the right of way the following applies: 1. La Beaute Space could have a maximum 60 square foot sign. The current sign meets this requirement. 2. The Dr. Kuntz space could have a 35 square foot sign. This is smaller due to the reduced frontage for this tenant. A tenant with 51-100 feet of frontage is permitted a 60 s.f. sign. 3. The third space would be permitted a 35 s. f. sign also. The Department recommends that the Special Studies Committee approve the request after all comments and concerns have been addressed.
