Rli: Traditions on the Monon Tree Clearing
Dear Mike,
I am in receipt of your letter to the Homeowners residing at Traditions on the Monon
regarding the tree clearing along the Monon Trail. Centex Homes was not the
responsible party for the tree clearing, as we were as surprised as the City to find out that
some brush and tree limbs were removed from the protected easement.
We are also in the process of modifying the Covenant and Restrictions to remove the
common area that was dedicated to the City. Once the modifications are completed, we
will send out reminder notices that the area between the retaining wall and the Monon
Trail are protected and that any tree removal in the future must be approved by the City
of Carmel
Centex Homes is committed to making sure that all requirements are meC including the
tree preservation areas. Centex homes would like permission from the City to plant two

Please let me know who I should talk to in order to replace the damaged tree area with
the appropriate tree species. Once we receive your approval, we will schedule the
installation of the trees.
If you have any questions, please feel tree to contact me at 714-7713.
