The sign(s) advertises for Tom Wood Ford, located at 3130 East 96th Street, in the City of Carmel, a property listed under your ownership. BUSINESSES ARE NOT PERMITTED TO USE BALLOONS OR SIMILAR DEVICES TO DRAW ATTENTION TO OR ADVERTISE GOODS FOR SALE. According to Section 25.07.01-4 Prohibited Signs, of the Carmel/Clay Zoning Ordinance the following sign(s) are prohibited: o) Lighter than air advertising devices. Furthermore, the site was also found to be in violation of the standards set forth for window signage area in the Carmel/Clay Zoning Ordinance. Specifically, the signage in the front windows of the subject structure exceeds 30% of the windows' area, as regulated by Section 25.07.02-12 of the Zoning Ordinance: 2) MAXIMUM SIGN AREA: One (1) or more Window Signs shall not exceed thirty percent (30%) of the total Window This letter shall serve as the final warning for this type of violation. Please remove the balloons and bring the window signage area into compliance with the 30 percent standard by December 11, 2008, to avoid further enforcement action.
