AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA
REZONING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION
Rezoning the property known as Burlingame (as proposed)from the S-I/Residence District
Classification to the R-4/Residence District Classification
PEAS. the Carmel/Clay Plan Commission has favorably recommended the rezoning

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Carmel,
Indiana, as follows:
Section I:
That the Official Zoning Map accompanying and made part of the Zoning Ordinance is hereby
changed to designate the real property from the S-l/Residence District Classification to the R-
4/Residence District Classification.
Section II:
All prior Ordinances or parts thereof inconsistent with any provision of this Ordinance are hereby
repealed.
Section III:
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and signing by the Mayor.

Burlingame
Rezone of property commonly known as Burhngame from S 1/Residential to R
4/Residential. Also described by the following boundary description:
A part of the West Half of the Northwest Quarter of Section 29, Township 18 North,
Range 3 East, in Hamilton County, Indiana, being more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the Southwest corner of the Northwest Quarter of said Section;
thence North 00 degrees 03 minutes 21 seconds East along the West line of said
Northwest Quarter Section 985.08 feet to the North line of the South 30 acres of
the West Half of said Northwest Quarter Section and the POINT OF
BEGINNING of this description; thence continuing North 00 degrees 03 minutes
21 seconds East along the aforesaid West line 698.74 feet; thence East 205.18
feet; thence South 00 degrees 01 minutes 34 seconds West 112.20 feet; thence
South 89 degrees 58 minutes 32 seconds East 372.11 feet; thence South 00

Dear Members:
The Carmel/Clay Plan Commission offers you the following report on the application (Docket No. 1271
03 Z) of Pittman parmers petitioning the Commission for a favorable recommendation to rezone property
generally located along the east side of Shelbome Road, % mile north of 131st Street from the S-1
Residential Estate to R-2 / Residence:
The Carmel/Clay Plan Commission's recommendation on the petition of the applicant is
,,FAVORABLE."
At its regularly scheduled meeting of December 16, 2003, the Carmel/Clay Plan Commission voted ten
(10) in Favor, two (2) Opposed, zero (0) Abstaining, to forward to the Common Council the proposed
Ordinance No. Z-441-03 with a Favorable Recommendation.
Please be advised that by virtue of the Plan Commission's Favorable Recommendation, pursuant to IC
36-74-608(f)(4), the Council has ninety (90) days to act on this petition before it becomes effective as
Certified by the Commission. Ninety days from the date of this Certification is Tuesday, March 16, 2004.
