We still maintain that the "Dick's" building does not have eligible frontage for signage on the north or south
elevations. I think we can come up with something (support variance) for them to draw people out of the parking
lot. However, signage similar to the east elevation can not happen administratively. Is it possible to have signage
similar to that proposed in the elevations you sent to Mike attached to the building to achieve your goal. If not I
could see a 15 to 20 square foot sign 10 to 12 foot up on the building near the east end of the north and south
elevations as something supportable.
In addition I thing we need to come up with something in the way of signage for tenants that will have entrances to
the stores on the parking lot sides, Pier One for example. I am thinking of a wall plate visible from the parking
areas next to the doors.
We would like to see this issue resolved prior to individual tenants coming forward and requesting variances
which is something I have already discussed with Pier One and Circuit City
We can address the steps for the changes in signage next week. the Department is in full support of these
modification and they will only require Committee approval that would likely take final action at the March 2nd
meeting.

our tenants and tenant coordinators to include in the criteria package. This will eliminate the guess work for
the tenants.
