Carmel, Indiana 46033 RE: ZONING ORDINANCE VIOLATION Dear Sir / Madam This letter is being provided to inform you that our department has recently received some concerns regarding 11250 N. Gray Rd. in the City of Carmel, a property listed under your ownership. These concerns are in regards to the noise generated by your helicopter. This property was inspected on October 22, 2008, and while no take -offs or landings were observed, a helicopter was found to be located on your property. The use of a helicopter is inconsistent with the zoning of your property which is classified as S-2. Private helicopter landing is only allowed per the Carmel/ Clay Land Use Regulations Schedule of Uses on those parcels zoned M-1, M-3, AG- 1, and only with the provision of a Special Use Variance. You may apply for Special Use Variance to legally use the property as a private helicopter landing/service facility. In order to do so, please contact Christine Barton -Holmes (317.571.2424) in the Carmel Planning & Zoning Department for application procedures. In the meantime, you must cease using this means of transportation pending any approval by the Board of Zoning Appeals. Failure to do so will result in further Code Enforcement action to include the issuance of citations per recorded incident (which includes mandatory appearance in Carmel City Court).
