Clay Public Library Board of Ti ustees reported on the current activity of the Library Jack Badger 3039 Rolling Springs Drive Carmel IN addressed the Council regarding the CamielFest Spark Buttons Mr Badger offered a challenge to each of the Council Mayor Brainard and the Clerk Treasurer to sell twenty five (25) buttons (53 00 each) If the challenge is accepted each person will receive a free spark button COUNCIL, MAYORAL AND CLERK TREASURFR COMMENTS /OBSERVATIONS Councilor Snyder announced that St Chnstopher s Church would be hosting a Strawberry rest at the Gazebo on June 27 2009 immediately following the Carmel rainier s Market 1 Council President Seidensticker announced that the Council would be holding a Special Meeting on Friday, June 26 2009 at 8 00 a m for claims approval He also informed the Council that Councilor 1 Gnffiths had surgery and that is the reason for his absence this evening ACTION ON MAYORAL VETOES There were none CLAIMS Councilor Sharp made a motion to approve claims in the amount of S1 735,309 06 Councilor Snyder seconded There was no Council discussion Council President Seidensticker called for the vote Claims w ere approved 6 -0 COMMITTEE REPORTS Councilor Snyder reported that the Finance, Administration and Rules Committee had not met The next meeting will be held on Thursday June 18 2009 at 5 30 p m Councilor Sharp reported that the Land Use Annexation and Economic Development Committee met and discussed Resolution CC 05- 04 -09 -01 which remains in committee They also discussed Ordinance Z 527 09 which was forwarded with a unanimous favorable recommendation to the Council upon the condition that the developer submit a written commitment that they will not seek TT funding for this 1 project Councilor Rider reported that the Parks Recreation and Arts Committee had not met Council President Seidensticker reported that the Utilities, Transportation and Public Safety Committee had not met OLD BUSINESS
