CARMEL CITY POLICE OFFICER SCOTT L MOORE WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Carmel, Carmel Indiana, an Indiana municipal corporation, by and through its Board of Public Works and Safety (City pursuant to 1 C 5- 22 -22 -6 to transfer owricrship of' Carmel Police Department canine "Keehn" an eleven (11)year Officer of the Carmel Police Department WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City to transfer ownership of "Keehn" to Officer Scott L Moore Due to his physical deficiencies, "Keehn" is no longer able to perform the duties of' a Police canine on the Carmel Police Department WHEREAS Officer Scott L Moore, an officer with the Carmel Police Department and "Keehn s" handler for the past eleven (11) years, is willing to take ownership of "Keelm" and care for him mdefinrtely IT IS THEREFORE AGREED THAT 1 The Carmel City Police Department transfer ownership of "Keehn' to Officer Scott L Moore 2 Officer Scott L Moore shall accept responsibility for future care and maintenance of "Keehn" 3 Officer Scott L Moore agrees to hold harmless the City of Carmel and its officers, officials, employees, attorneys, agents, successors and assigns and shall mdemnify same, for any and all liability that may anse from or as a result of the transfer of ownership of Keehn" to Officer Moore on or after the date of this Resolution (See attached Exhibit "A SO AGREED CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA Ownership I am requesting your assistance in the preparation of a request to the Board of Public Works and Safety transferring ownership of CPD K 9 Keelin from the Carmel Police Department to Officer Scott L Moore upon Officer Moore's request Keelin has been in service for approximately ten (10) years and because of physical deficiencies is no longer able to perform the duties of a police K 9 dog Officer Moore has been Keelin's handler for the past ten (10) years and is s riling to accept full responsibility for the future care and maintenance of Keelin If possible 1 would like to ha%a this Scott L Moore, of the Carmel Police Department, do hereby forever release and discharge the City of Carmel, Indiana, its officers, officials, employees, attorneys, agents successors and assigns from any and all liability claims demands, controversies damages, costs and expenses actions and causes of actions, whatsoever, related to any loss or damage of any land or nature resulting from any injuries or damages to any person or property as a result of "Keehn' whom has been given to me for the maintenance and care of Keelin and hereby forever release the City of Carmel from such
