1. ALL GRADES AT BOUNDARY SHALL MEET EXISTING GRADES.
2. IT SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF EACH SUBCONTRACTOR TO
VERIFY ALL EXISTING HOES AND CONDITIONS PERTAINING TO
THE PHASE OF WORK. IT SHALL ALSO BE THE SUBCONTRACTOR'S
RESPONSIBIUTY TO CONTACT THE OWNERS OF' THE VARIOUS
UTIUT1S FOR PROPER STAKE LOCATION OF EACH UTILITY BEFORE
WOK IS STARTED. THE SUBCONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY IN
WRITING THE OWNER AND THE ENGINEER OF ANY CHANGES,
OMISSIONS, OR ERRORS FOUND ON THESE PLANS OR IN FIELD
BEFORE WORK IS STARTED OR RESUMED.
3. STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CITY OF CARMEL AND CARMEL
WATER SHALL APPLY FOR ALL WATER MAINS. STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR
CLAY TWP. SEWER DISTRICT SHALL APPLY FOR ALL SANITARY SEWERS.
STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CITY OF CARMEL SHALL
APPLY FOR ALL STORM SEWERS.
4. ANY PART OF THE SANITARY OR STORM SEWER TRENCHES
RUNNING UNDER PAVED AREAS TO BE BACKFILLED WITH
GRANULAR MATERIAL
5. THE SIZE AND LOCATION OF EXISTING UTILITIES SHOWN ARE PER
INFORMATION PROVIDED BY THE RESPECTIVE UTILITY COMPANIES.
ALL UTILITY COMPANIES SHOULD BE NOTIFIED PRIOR TO ANY
EXCAVATION FOR FIELD LOCATION OF SERVICES.

8. TEMPORARY TRAFFIC CONTROL DURING CONSTRUCTION TO
CONFORM TO APPUCABLE LOCAL AND STATE STANDARDS.

12 ALL ALL AREAS UNDER BUILDING PADS, PAVEMENT, OR SUBGRADE
SHALL BE COMPACTED TO AT LEAST 95% OF THE STANDARD PROCTOR
DENSITY (ASTM D -698). AU. OTHER FILL AREAS SHALL BE
COMPACTED TO 90% OF THE STANDARD PROCTOR DENSITY (ASTM D -698).
13. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CONFIRM ALL EARTHWORK QUANTITIES
PRIOR TO THE START OF CONSTRUCTION. IF AN EXCESS OR
SHORTAGE OF EARTH IS ENCOUNTERED, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL
CONFIRM WITH THE OWNER AND ENGINEER THE REQUIREMENTS
FOR STOCKPILING, REMOVAL OR IMPORTING OF EARTH.
14. ALL WATER MAINS TO BE A`t54" MINIMUM COVER OVER TOP OF PIPE.
15. STERIUZATION OF WATER MAIN SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH
STATE BOARD OF HEALTH REQUIREMENTS.
