IF EROSION OF SEDIMENT FROM THE SITE IS TAKING PLACE, THE CONTRACTOR AND /OR OWNER SHALL TAKE PREVENTATIVE ACTION IMMEDIATELY. THE ENGINEER SHALL BE CONSULTED IN THE EVENT THIS HAPPENS, TEMPORARY SEEDING IS TO BE APPLIED TO ANY GRADED AREA THAT WILL REMAIN UNALTERED FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME. EROSION CQNTRQL 1) CONTRACTOR SHALL AT ALL TIMES INSURE THAT EROSION CONTROL MEASURES PROTECTING EXISTING DRAINAGE FACILITIES BE IN PLACE PRIOR TO THE COMMENCEMENT OF ANY PHASE OF CONSTRUCTION OR LAND ALTERATION ACTMTY. 2) PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT OF ANY SITE GRADING, INCLUDING FINISH GRADE OF CONSTRUCTION OF DRAINAGE FACIUTIES, CONTRACTOR SHALL CONSTRUCT THE APPUCABLE EROSION CONTROL MEASURES REQUIRED BY AND DELINEATED ON THE APPROVED PLAN. 3) DURING SITE CONSTRUCTION ACTMTY, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL: A. ;CONSTRUCT ALL PERIMETER SILT BARRIERS. B. INSTALL AND MAINTAIN CLEAN CRUSHED STONE AT ALL CONSTRUCTION ENTRANCES /EXITS TO NE SITE AND ANY AREAS USED FOR PARKING. C. PREVENT CONSTRUCTION SILTS FROM LEAVING THE SITE AT ALL TIMES AND PLACE EXCAVATED MATERIALS AWAY FROM ANY DIRECT DRAINAGE FLOW RUNOFF FROM THE SITE. 4) TEMPORARY VEGETATION SHALL BE INSTALLED WITHIN 7 DAYS FOLLOWING COMPLETION OF ANY PHASE OF GRADING, 5) CONTRACTOR SHALL INSPECT ALL EROSION CONTROL MEASURES DAILY AND REPAIR AS NECESSARY TO PREVENT EROSION. SILTATION SHALL BE REMOVED FROM AREAS WHERE FAILURES HAVE OCCURRED AND CORRECTIVE ACTION SHALL BE TAKEN WITHIN 24 HOURS TO MAINTAIN ALL EROSION CONTROL 6) PERIMETER SILTATION BARRIERS SHALL BE MAINTAINED AT AL TIMES. 7) AT SUCH TIME THAT ROUGH GRADING OF THE SITE IS COMPLETE AND DRAINAGE DIVERTS TO INLETS, INLET EROSION CONTROL MEASURES SHALL BE INSTALLED AT ALL INLET STRUCTURES TO KEEP PIPING SYSTEMS FREE OF SILTATION. 8) EROSION CONTROL MEASURES, CONSTRUCTION ENTRANCES AND SILTATION BARRIERS SHALL REMAIN IN PLACE UNTIL A GOOD STAND OF GRASS HAS BEEN OBTAINED AND /OR PAVING ;OPERATIONS ARE COMPLETE. AFTER COMPLETEVEGETATIVE ESTABLISHMENT OR PAVING, ALL SILT IN PIPES, DETENTION FACILTIES AND SWALES SHALL BE REMOVED WITHIN 10 DAYS SO THAT FINISHED GRADES ARE MET. 9) CONTRACTOR MUST SUBMIT A SEED MIXTURE CERTIFICATE TO THE GOVERNING AGENCIES BEFORE USING. GRASS SEED SHALL BE SOWN AT THE RATE OF NOT LESS THAN THREE (3) POUNDS PER THOUSAND SQUARE FEET AND SHALL BE THE FOLLOWING ANALYSIS: 35 PARTS KENTUCKY BLUEGRASS 30 PARTS PERENNIAL RYE 30 PARTS KENTUCKY 31 FESCUE' 5 PARTS INERT MATTER HYDRO SEEDING SHALL BE DONE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE INDIANA DEPARTMENTS OF TRANSPORTATION SPECIFICATIONS, LATEST REVISION. 10) WITHIN ONE (1) YEAR AFTER WORK COMPLETION, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE REQUIRED TO CORRECT ANY DEFECTIVE WORK, SUCH AS BARE SPOTS IN GRASS COVERAGE, EROSION, GULLIES, ETC, IN A TIMELY MANNER UPON NOTIFICATION. RADE END STAKE SHALL BE HIGHER THAN TOP OF PIPE, END SECTION MAINTENANCE: 1, INSPECT WEEKLY AND AFTER EACH STORM EVENT. 2. IF FABRIC IS TORN OR DETERIORATED, REPLACE SECTION IMMEDIATELY. 3. REMOVE SEDIMENT WHEN HEIGHT REACHES 1/3 OF THE HEIGHT OF THE FENCE OR IS CAUSING FABRIC TO BULGE. 4. TAKE CARE NOT TO UNDERMINE THE ENTRENCHED FABRIC. 5.
