The sign advertises for Carmel Drive Self Storage located at 550 West Carmel Drive, in the City of Carmel. The violation is in regard to the van and attached banner parked on the lawn along Old Meridian Street. As per Section 25Oi.01-4 Prohibited Signs, of the Carmel Zoning Ordinance this type of sign display is prohibited: q) It shall be prohibited to park or use a velhide in such a. way as to function as a sign, defined to include the parking of any vehicle, trailer or similar movable structure containing or supporting any signage between the right-of-way line and any public street and the greater of ttiwo distances,; forward of the Front (Line of Building of the Principal Building or one hundred - fifty 1150E feet from the ou,blic right-of�wav, with the exception of:. (i) Vehicles actively involved in construction on or serving of the site; (it) Vehicles delivering products to the site in designated loading areas; (iii) Vehicles parked in designated truck parking area; of a development that have been screened from or are not generally visibla from the public riight-of-way, (Iv) Passenger vehicles, pick-up trucks„ and vans of a size that can fully fit within a standard parking space, containing signs Ipainted on or permanently affixed! on the doors or integral body panels that, do not exceed sixteen (16) square; feet in, area.
