SILT FENCE
Silt Fence shall be a machine produced, non -woven geotextile of 100%
polypropylene meeting the physical properties below.
All stakes shall be 2" X 2" hardwood 36" tall with 24" tall lath stapled
to stakes over fabric as reinforcement.
All silt fence shall be prefabricated by the supplier. No field assembly
will be accepted.

1. CONCRETE WASHOUT AREA SHALL BE INSTALLED PRIOR TO ANY CONCRETE PLACEMENT ON SITE.
2. SIGNS SHALL BE PLACED AT THE CONSTRUCTION ENTRANCE, AT THE WASHOUT AREA, AND
ELSEWHERE AS NECESSARY TO CLEARLY INDICATE THE. LOCATION OF THE CONCRETE WASHOUT AREA TO
OPERATORS OF CONCRETE TRUCKS AND PUMP RIGS.
3. THE CONCRETE WASHOUT AREA SHALL BE REPAIRED AND ENLARGED OR CLEANED OUT AS

SITE SPECIFIC CONSTRUCTION SEQUENCE
The purpose of staging construction during the earthwork phase of the project is to
limit the amount of ground disturbed at any given time and to control silt from the
areas that are disturbed to prevent silt from leaving the site. For this reason, the
following sequencing should be followed as much as possible.
1. Install construction entrance, silt fence, and tree protection.
2. Install construction fence.
3. Demolish building, trees, and site improvements in vicinity of new building.
4. Strip topsoil, Grading.
5, Construct new building and utilities.
6. Construct paved areas.
7. Install roof drains.
8. Landscaping.
9. Spread topsoil and seeding.
POST CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES
1. Inspect and maintain all erosion control measures as detailed in the erosion control
measures and maintenance requirements beginning immediately after installation.
