5. ALL CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY ON THIS SITE TO BE
PERFORMED IN COMPLIANCE WITH APPLICABLE O.S.H.A.
STANDARDS FOR WORKER SAFETY.
The vertical location data shown on this survey is based upon a positional solution derived from
Global Positioning System (GPS) observations processed by National Geodetic Survey (NGS)
utilizing their Online Positioning User Service (OPUS) software. The coordinate values shown are
in the Indiana State Plane Coordinate System East Zone on the 1983 North American Datum
(NAD83) utilizing the Continuously Operating Reference Station (CORS) adjustment as determined
by NGS. It is my opinion that the Theoretical Uncertainty (TU) of the project coordinates does
not exceed the above stated TU of this survey. Unless otherwise noted, elevations shown
hereon are based upon said OPUS solution and are on the 1988 North American Vertical Datum
(NAVD88). It is my opinion that the uncertainty in the elevation of the project benchmark
does not exceed 0.10 foot.

2. IT SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF EACH CONTRACTOR TO
VERIFY ALL EXISTING UTILITIES AND CONDITIONS PERTAINING
TO THE PHASE OF WORK. IT SHALL ALSO BE THE
CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO CONTACT THE OWNERS OF

EACH UTILITY BEFORE WORK IS STARTED. THE CONTRACTOR

3. STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CITY OF CARMEL,
INDIANA SHALL APPLY FOR ALL SANITARY SEWER AND STORM
SEWERS.
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC CONTROL DURING CONSTRUCTION TO
CONFORM TO APPLICABLE LOCAL AND STATE STANDARDS.
6. CONTRACTOR SHALL MINIMIZE DAMAGE TO EXISTING TREES.
REMOVE AND BACKFILL ALL AREAS WHERE ANY FIELD TILE
CROSSES PROPOSED BUILDING PADS. ALL FIELD TILES
INTERCEPTED TO BE PERPETUATED INTO STORM SEWER
SYSTEM OR LAKE. THE SUBCONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY IN
WRITING THE OWNER AND THE ENGINEER IN ANY
CIRCUMSTANCES WHERE THIS CANNOT BE ACCOMPLISHED.
8. ALL FILL AREAS SHALL BE COMPACTED TO AT LEAST 100
PERCENT OF THE MAXIMUM DRY DENSITY (ASTM D- 1557).
9. ALL A.D.A. PARKING SPACES AND ACCESS AISLES SHALL BE
LEVEL WITH SURFACE SLOPES NOT EXCEEDING 1:50 (2 IN
ALL DIRECTIONS TO COMPLY WITH A.D.A. REQUIREMENTS.
10. ALL SIDEWALK CROSS SLOPES SHALL NOT EXCEED 1:50 (2
STANDARD TOPSOIL NOTE TO APPEAR ON ALL GRADING PLANS
THIS IS A BASIC NOTE THAT WILL NEED TO BE ON ALL GRADING PLANS.
ALL TOPSOIL SHALL BE REMOVED TO A DEPTH OF OF INCHES OR AS OTHERWISE INDICATED IN
THE SOILS INVESTIGATION REPORT BEFORE REMAINING EARTHWORK ACTIVITIES COMMENCE. ONLY
TOPSOIL CAPABLE OF BEING USED ON -SITE MAY BE STOCKPILED ON -SITE IN LOCATION DESIGNATED
BY OWNER. ALL EXCESS TOPSOIL SHALL BE HAULED OFF -SITE AT NO ADDITIONAL COST TO OWNER.
ANY OF THE STATEMENTS BELOW MAY BE ADDED TO THE ABOVE NOTE AS THE SITUATION WARRANTS.
TOPSOIL STOCKPILES PLACED ON SITE SHALL TEMPORARILY SEEDED WITHIN THREE DAYS OF PILE
COMPLETION.
TOPSOIL WHICH HAS BEEN STOCKPILED IN THE DESIGNED LOCATION MAY BE SOLD FROM THE
SITE UNTIL DAYS FROM PROJECT COMPLETION AT WHICH TIME ALL EXCESS TOPSOIL
SHALL BE HAULED OFF -SITE AT NO ADDITIONAL COST TO THE OWNER.
THE RETENTION POND MAY BE OVER EXCAVATED FOR PURPOSES OF OBTAINING NEEDED FILL
MATERIAL AND THE BACKFILLED WITH EXCESS TOPSOIL.
