It is possible the property has been foreclosed on or will be soon. The water dept has turned off the water and sewer to the property and my guess is that all the other utilities are off as well. nothing has been done to the yard this year. Nothing at all. The grass is over 12 inches tall in most places. all the trees and shrubs are overgrown. As President of the home owners Association, i speak for all my neighbors in asking for the city to take whatever action possible in helping us correct this situationas soon as possible. We have notified the Brysons that they have 10 days to mow the yard. That deadline passed May 27. Under our CC&Rs we hired a firm to take care of the lawn and bill the owners. however they can not do the work because there is a locked gate and a wrought iron 6/12/2008 Page 2 of 2 fence surrounding the backyard I would hate to think that we are forced to look at this mess for who knows how much longer because there is a locked gate. I spoke to Kevin in Community Services today and he has assigned an inspector to come out and verify the information provided. however Kevin said there is not much the city can do because of the locked gate. I am asking for your help in leading us to a solution here. Right now, there are animals who visit the property regularly. On Saturday we saw a fox coming and going from the tall grass. We also saw folks in the yard digging up trees and other plantings on both Saturday and Sunday. We called for police to investigate but the response time was over 20 minutes and by that time the people had left. WE never did see the police arrive although the dispatcher said they were on site. I am concerned about animals living in the tall grass attacking small pets, I am concerned about the weeds in the lawn causing allergies especially to my wife who is not in good health at the moment. I am concerned about dry grass in the summer becoming a fire hazard. Plus you would have to admit, all the overgrown vegetation is not a pretty sight along 131st St to anyone driving through the community. Tell us what we can do. we are willing to hire someone to cut the yard. We are willing to get a locksmith to pick the lock in necessary. Since the gates are too small to let a riding mower into the yard, the owners had to remove a section of fence to get in with their own mower. We are willing to do that if necessary. Please we are desparate here and will appreciate any advice or assistance you can offer Thank you for listening George Meissner
