A minimum of 4" of topsoil shall be placed on all areas shown to be hydroseeded. Use suitable topsoil from stock —piled site stripping. Topsoil shall be free from subsoil, vegetation, weeds or any extraneous or deleterious materials larger than 1 remove any unsuitable and excess topsoil, as determined by soils engineer, from the site. Furnish any additional topsoil needed at no additional cost. 2. In case of discrepancies between the plan and the plant list, the plan shall dictate. 3. All trees shall have a 4' diameter ring covered with a 2" to 3" thick layer of shredded hardwood mulch. Mulch shall be uniform in texture and color. No utility mulch or processed tree trimmings will be allowed. All planting beds shall have s pre— emergent herbicide per manufacturer's specifications. 4. All plantings are to meet or exceed American standards for nursery stock, 1996 edition, as set forth by American association nurserymen, ANSI Standards, and the Carmel Street Tree Species Recommended List. 5. Plants and all other materials to be stored on site will be placed where they will not conflict with construction and as directed by owner. 6. All new landscape plantings shall be guaranteed for a period of two years following final inspection by owner. At the end of this period, plant material termed dead or unsatisfactory by owner shall be replaced at no additional charge by the landscape contractor. 7. All disturbed lawn areas shall be hydroseeded as noted on the plans. 8. All plantings beds shall have a spade edge. 9. No trees, shrubbery or similar growth shall be planted, or allowed to grow, directly over ten (10) feet horizontal distance measured from the drip line of the planting, to sanitary sewer mains, laterals, building sewers or manholes. 10. All trees planted on —site are to be taken from the Carmel desirable tree list from the Carmel Department of Community Services. Any species not on the list must be pre approved by Scott Brewer Urban Forester (571- 2417). 11. Landscape area outside of shrub masses shall be planted in turf or other approved groundcover.
