THE SUBSOIL EXTENDS TO A DEPTH OF 58 INCHES AND IS DARK GRAY, GRAY, AND GRAYISH BROWN, MOTTLED, FIRM CLAY LOAM AND LOAM. THE SUBSTRATUM, TO A DEPTH OF 70 INCHES, IS BROWN LOAM. IN SOME PLACES THE LOWER PART OF THE SUBSOIL IS SANDY LOAM, LOAMY SAND, OR SANDY CLAY LOAM.
