Council President Seidensticker called the meeting to order at 5 15 p m

Councilor Snyder made a motion to approve claims in the amount of $5 046,976 43 Councilor Sharp
seconded There was no Council discussion Claims were approved 6 0

Council President Seidensticker called the meeting to order at 5 30 p m
2010 CiTY BUDGET WORKSHOP
There was bnef Council discussion Council President Seidensticker referred to Mark Westermeyer
Director, Carmel Parks Department, to address the Council Mayor Brainard addressed the Council
Councilor Sharp made a motion to reject the Parks Department budget Councilor Snyder seconded
These was Council discussion Council President Seidensticker called for the vote The motion was
approved 5 -2 (Councilors Carter and Rider opposed)
1 Council President Seidensticker referred to Mayor Brainard to address the Council There was extensive
Council discussion Councilor Sharp made a motion that Mayor Brainard submit a new budget or a
revised budget showing a neutral position regarding tapping into the pension funds The new or revised
budget will not affect the Carmel Fire Department, Carmel Police Department, Communications Center or
the information Technology (IT) Department Councilor Snyder seconded Council President
Seidensticker called for the vote 1 he motion was approved 7 0
