2. IT SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF EACH CONTRACTOR TO
VERIFY ALL EXISTING UTILITIES AND CONDITIONS PERTAINING
TO THE PHASE OF WORK. IT SHALL ALSO BE THE
CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO CONTACT THE OWNERS OF
THE VARIOUS UTILITIES FOR PROPER STAKE LOCATION FOR
EACH UTILITY BEFORE WORK IS STARTED. THE CONTRACTOR
SHALL NOTIFY IN WRITING THE OWNER OR THE ENGINEER OF
ANY CHANGES, OMISSIONS, OR ERRORS FOUND ON THESE
PLANS OR IN THE FIELD BEFORE WORK IS STARTED OR
RESUMED.
3. STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CITY OF CARMEL,
INDIANA SHALL APPLY FOR ALL SANITARY SEWER AND STORM
SEWERS.
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC CONTROL DURING CONSTRUCTION TO
CONFORM TO APPLICABLE LOCAL AND STATE STANDARDS.
5. ALL CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY ON THIS SITE TO BE
PERFORMED IN COMPLIANCE WITH APPLICABLE O.S.H.A.
STANDARDS FOR WORKER SAFETY.
6. CONTRACTOR SHALL MINIMIZE DAMAGE TO EXISTING TREES.
7. REMOVE AND BACKFILL ALL AREAS WHERE ANY FIELD TILE
CROSSES PROPOSED BUILDING PADS. ALL FIELD TILES
INTERCEPTED TO BE PERPETUATED INTO STORM SEWER
SYSTEM OR LAKE. THE SUBCONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY IN
WRITING THE OWNER AND THE ENGINEER IN ANY
CIRCUMSTANCES WHERE THIS CANNOT BE ACCOMPLISHED.
ALL FILL AREAS SHALL BE COMPACTED TO AT LEAST 100
PERCENT OF THE MAXIMUM DRY DENSITY (ASTM D- 1557).
9. ALL A.D.A. PARKING SPACES AND ACCESS AISLES SHALL BE
LEVEL WITH SURFACE SLOPES NOT EXCEEDING 1:50 (2 IN
ALL DIRECTIONS TO COMPLY WITH A.D.A. REQUIREMENTS.
10. ALL SIDEWALK CROSS SLOPES SHALL NOT EXCEED 1:50 (2

BM described by Coast and Geodetic Survey 1946 0.9 miles southeast from
Eagle Village. About 0.9 mile southeast along State Highway 29 from the
intersection with State Highway 334 near Eagle Village, 0.2 mile northwest of
a gravel road intersection, 0.5 mile southeast of the Hamilton -Boone County
line, 48 feet northeast of the center line of the highway, 17 feet northwest
of the centerline of a farm driveway, 141 feet west of the northwest corner
of a 2 story farm house, 57 feet southwest of the southwest corner of a
well house, 2 feet southeast of a white wooden witness post and about 2
feet above highway level. A standard disk, stamped S78 1946 and set in
the top of a concrete post projecting 5 inches above ground.
