RE: ADLS VIOLATION – EXTERIOR LIGHTING
Dear Mr. & Mrs. Matthews:
This letter is being provided to inform you that it has recently been brought to the City’s attention
that the lighting on the property at 1060 106th
St. E (NE corner 106th
& College) a property listed
under your ownership, has been altered without the approval of the Plan Commission.
Any changes to the lighting on the exterior of a property in Clay Township must first seek approval
from the Carmel Plan Commission. For information on this process please call the office of
Planning and Zoning at (317) 571-2417. The light recently installed is causing an interference with
northbound vehicular traffic on College. If the light were shielded and downcast as to minimize this
hazardous situation it could be considered as a security light which does not require any
commission approval.
Please comply with this request by February 28, 2005. Failure to comply will result in further
enforcement action. If you have any questions or comments regarding this matter, please feel free
to contact me at (317) 571-2672. Thank you for your cooperation.
Respectfully,
Kevin Brennan
Code Enforcement Inspector
