RE: CITY CODE VIOLATION – CONDITION OF PROPERTY
Dear Mr. & Mrs. Nigh:
This letter is being provided to inform you that an inquiry was made to the Department of
Community Services regarding a possible City Code Violation at 3737 97th St. W, in Clay
Township, a property listed under your ownership. An inspection revealed that the concern
appears to be valid and that the property is in violation of the Carmel Zoning Ordinance,
which construes the following conditions to be public health nuisances:
§25.05.02 Trash, garbage and all solid wastes shall not be stored outside of any
building for a period of longer than seven (7) days, except when construction is in
progress.
An inspection of the property was conducted on March 24, 2005 in which the violations
were discovered in the rear yard. There is a couch, tree limbs and a commercial truck
parked in the back yard of the property.
Please bring the condition of this property into compliance with the Carmel Zoning Ordinance by
April 6, 2005. Failure to resolve the violation(s) by the specified deadline will result in further
enforcement action by the City of Carmel. If you have any questions or comments regarding
this matter, please feel free to contact me at (317) 571-2672. Thank you for your cooperation.
Respectfully
Kevin Brennan
